Predictably, establishment Democrats are using fabricated Russian links to smear @RobertKennedyJr
@RealJakeBroe is an ex-USAF YouTuber who promotes escalation in the Ukraine war. In the last two weeks, his video titled “Robert F Kennedy Jr is Working for Russia” was watched over 271,000 times.
The “smoking gun” for Broe is that a mocked-up image of a Kennedy24 campaign hoodie was created using stock imagery featuring… a Russian model. But for Broe, this is damning.
Read his exact quote: “RFK Jr deleted a campaign photo after it was apparent that there were Russians in the picture. So this is a photo of a Russian woman inside of Russia and RFJ Jr Tweeted out how real Americans should join his campaign. For me this is all the evidence I need that there are Russians working on his campaign”.1
As he says this in the video, Broe is showing a Yahoo News article on screen. The full article actually gives an innocent explanation for the trivial issue, (one with Broe neglects to mention)
The article says: “Deborah Muller, a publicist who uses the same software in her work, tweeted a layman’s explanation of the program used to create the image… “It’s made with a mockup generator called PlaceIt. It is used by businesses to mock up designs without using real models.”
So clearly, there is absolutely no evidence of what Broe claims, that “there are Russians working on his [RFK Jr’s] campaign. But if we follow the logic of investigating every Russian link we can find, why not turn our attention to the article Jake Broe uses as his main source.
The article titled “Robert F Kennedy Jr deletes campaign photo after Russia details spotted” written by Graig Graziosi, originally appeared in The Independent, a UK outlet.2
The Independent’s majority owner is Evgeny Lebedev who is believed to hold assets on behalf of his father, the former KGB spy Alexander Lebedev.3
In May 2022, Alexander Lebedev was sanctioned by Canada as one of the “close associates of the Putin regime”.4
So to recap, Broe’s primary source is an outlet owned by the son of a sanctioned Russian ex-KGB oligarch. The question is, will his next YouTube video address his own “malign interference” in our Democracy?
It will probably be less ridiculous than his usual output, which generally involves calling @ElonMusk a “Russian Asset”.5
